A few weeks ago we were given a screen saver that was produced by the Tourism Department of the State of New Mexico. It was unusual in that it had a musical background. The musical artist's name was shown on the CD enclosure.

Long story made short .... The music was of - I guess you'd call it - classical Spanish guitar. The artist is Hector Pimentel an Albuquerque, New Mexico musical artist and guitar maker. He plays some American popular music (of the 50s through the 80s) on his CDs and some Spanish numbers also. All of it is quite good and some of the most peaceful and restful music I have heard lately.

Barnes and Noble can get the CD (there are currently three available) albums for you. You have to tell them that he is a local artist in Albuquerque and that they have to call the Albuquerque Barnes and Noble store to get them.

If you like classical Spanish guitar music - this artist is really good!
